By optimising the websites code and content, we were able to significantly improve the ranking in Google.

Since the launch of the website, we have seen a steady increase in the number times the website has been display in Google search results. The increase of impressions has exposed the website to potential customers, who are looking for the services offered by Speedline.

OUR APPROACH TO THE PROJECT

#1 Initial Meeting

INITIAL MEETING

Our initial meeting was motivated by the clients concerns regarding the website not working on mobile phone. The client understood the website needed to be rebuilt when they contacted us; however, we wanted to ensure the project achieved other business goals such as increasing sales and generating online enquiries.

We decided the best course of action was to conduct a comprehensive website audit. This would give us a good starting point and enable us to identify online marketing opportunities that might otherwise be overlook.

#2 Research

BACKGROUND RESEARCH

Using Google Keyword Planner, we investigated monthly search volumes relating to the fencing solutions offered by Speedline. Once we complied a list of target keywords, we conducted a website audit to evaluate the sites current position in Google, Bing & Yahoo for these keywords.

Next, we used Google Analytics to evaluate website traffic. We found it had an extremely high bounce rate, and a very low average time spent on the website. This was due to the lack of information on the site.

Lastly, we used our website auditing software to assess the websites code and functionality to identify areas of improvement for the rebuild.

#3 Opportunity

THE OPPORTUNITY

Our research revealed several opportunities for the business. We found there was a high number of Google searches relating to the products offered by Speedline. Their current website, however, wasn’t ranking for these keywords.

In addition, we believed we could increase the number of online inquiries, by including a call to action on every page, as well as more information about their services, for customers.

#4 Solution

THE SOLUTION

Based on the companies goals and our research, we implemented the following solution:

Custom Website Design: we build a custom website that aligned with the businesses branding. We employed a user-centric approach, to ensure customers could easily find the information they were looking for. It was developed using a responsive design, this meant the website displayed perfectly across all platforms such as, desktop, laptop, tablet and mobile. A call-to-action was used on every page to prompt visitors to request a quote.

SEO: we optimised the websites code to improve its ranking in Google and other search engines. We included the target keywords in meta-titles, meta-description, anchor text and image alt tags, to help search engines understand the content on the website. Furthermore, we used Google data highlight, to mark up data on the website.
