#1 Initial Meeting

INITIAL MEETING

In our first chat with the owners, we focused on determining their desired outcomes for the project. Like most clients, when we first spoke to them, they were quick to tell us the specifications for the website - ‘we need a six-page website, we want it to look like this site’ etc. We paused on this conversation at the start to figure out what they were wanting to achieve.

We learned they were a new business, they wanted to keep their expense low at the start, and really wanted to focus on generating sales as quickly as possible. Once the sales were coming in, they were wanting to reinvest back into the business to perpetuate continued growth.

#2 Research

BACKGROUND RESEARCH

Once we had their goals clearly defined, we then began our background research. We needed to figure out the most cost-effective way to attract potential customers to the website.

We started with keyword research; we used Google Keyword Planner to investigate average monthly search volumes. This enable us to determine what potential customers were searching in Google to find Bathroom Renovation services in Newcastle, as well as the number of times they were being searched.

#3 Opportunity

THE OPPORTUNITY

Our research revealed that ‘Bathroom Renovations Newcastle’ was searched on average 170 times a month in Google Australia-wide. We determined that anyone searching this, would likely be a potential customer wanting a bathroom renovation.

This was a great opportunity to attract ready to buy customers to the website and generate immediate sales.  

#4 Solution

THE SOLUTION

Based on the owner’s goals and our research, we implemented the following solution:

Website: we built a basic website, that looks professional, is easy to navigate and works on desktop, tablet and mobile. Since driving sales was a priority to the owners, we decided it would be in the client’s best interest to allocate a part of their web design budget into online marketing.

Google Ads: to start generating sales quickly, we implemented a Google Ads campaign targeted towards people that are searching for bathroom renovation services in Newcastle.

Search Engine Optimisation (SEO): we optimised the websites code and content to improve the websites ranking in Google and other search engines. We included target keywords in meta-titles, meta-descriptions and the anchor text of internal links. We also adjusted the keyword density, and include the keywords in heading tags.
